Kootenay Lake

Kootenay Lake is one of North America's largest warm water lakes with a surface area of over 400 sq. miles. A perfect lake for water sports and beach-combing. 

Area Towns

A short trip along Kootenay Lake's east shore brings you to Riondel, Kootenay Bay, Gray Creek and Boswell. A free ferry & a quick drive takes you to Nelson.

Crawford Bay, Kootenay Lake and Area

Crawford Creek Regional Park is directly across from the resort's southern boundary. Here you'll discover 2 great sandy beaches and awesome opportunities for birders to observe the incredible, renowned array of birds nesting and visiting the area.

Local Beaches

The park is located on Kootenay Lake. The bay at the park is good for swimming and fishing. In the park (274-hectares) there are many hiking trails around including Pilot Peninsula Trail (12.8km round-trip shoreline hike with access to multiple beaches).

Pilot Bay

A free ferry ride across Kootenay Lake and a short car ride brings you to one of Canada's most beloved and scenic towns. Nelson is a vibrant lakeside community brimming with great shopping, dining, street musicians, historic buildings and charming sites.
