The Beach at Kokanee

Kokanee Springs Resort Club includes property along the north shore of Crawford Bay, including over a mile of shoreline. This end of the Bay boasts the warmest water and the finest sandy beach on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake, with access across from the number 6 tee box.

The Wetlands at Kokanee

Due west of the beach and airstrip on Crawford Bay are the wetlands. A walking trail from the airstrip takes you through a natural reserve and waterway teeming with waterfowl and wildlife.

The Trails at Kokanee

Surrounding the Kokanee properties and golf course are 10 kilometers of maintained trails ranging from the 1.5 km Little Big Bend Loop, the 3 km Big Bend Loop, or the 5.7 km Creeks and Bridges loop. All trails can be initiated from the Lodges of Kokanee and can connect with the Beach and Wetlands Trail for a full adventure.

The Artisans of Crawford Bay

Crawford Bay is home to a thriving Artisan community. Some of finest craftsmen and personalities in the west grace our community, including Blacksmiths, Glass Blowers, Potters, Weavers, Carvers and Silversmiths, plus the Hand Woven Broom Factory, famous for its ties and supplies to the Harry Potter and Bewitched movies. Enjoy a stroll through the Artisan Village and experience the live demonstrations of their crafts. Not to be missed!

The New School

Have you ever wondered what the school of the future holds? Crawford Bay is proud to be the first Environmental Leed’s Gold Certified School in the Province. Complete with Rain Collection and Bio-Swales, check out this state of the art building. The school is located half a kilometer west of the resort entrance off highway 3A.
